Coaching
Group Coaching is provided for all juniors. Juniors are expected as part of their membership to attend at least five sessions in the year. Young players are taught the fundamentals of the swing, including proper grip, body alignment and posture. Advancing players work with our instructors to develop a consistent repeating motion and to learn mental strategies to apply on the course.

Strokes and Stableford competitions
In stroke play, players must finish every hole. Players add up their scores for each hole to get their final score. Each hole must be finished out. The total score gives the player their gross score. When their handicap is taken off the final score their net score is calculated.
Stableford is a scoring system in golf which, rather than counting the total number of strokes taken, involves scoring points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole. When a player has no points remaining it is expected that they lift their ball and finish playing that hole. This hole is scratched.
The Stableford points awarded on each hole is determined by the number of strokes taken to par before being adjusted in relation to the player’s handicap. For example, a player with a handicap of six will be afforded an extra shot on the holes that have a stroke index of one to six. A 24-handicapper, meanwhile, would get two extra strokes on holes with a stroke index of one to six and one extra shot on those with a stroke index of seven to 18.
Points in Stableford are awarded as follows:
• 6 points – Four strokes under
• 5 points – Three strokes under
• 4 points – Two strokes under
• 3 points – One stroke under
• 2 points – Level par
• 1 point – One stroke over
• 0 points – Two strokes or more over
